Right now, interest rates are low and home prices are great in our market. This is causing some to wonder if this is finally their chance to move up to that luxury home they’ve always dreamed of but never thought they could afford.

Is this the time to make your dreams come true? We represent many sellers with these large, fabulous homes. They are just amazing! They have features like squash courts, golf course views, and walk-out basements to beautiful inground pools that have resort-like settings. Home theaters, spa-like master baths, and pro-level kitchen appliances are just a few of the amenities that can be yours.

When we tour these great homes, we’re always blown away by the value they represent. They are selling far below the prices they once commanded and their original cost to build. They can be bought for much less than what it would cost to build a similar custom home today.

This is a very exciting combination of factors that have lined up to present you with an opportunity we may not ever see again. Here’s another factor that works in your favor—if you are in a move-up home, buyers will probably compete for your home and give you a very good price in short order. There is just not enough inventory in the moderate price ranges. It’s a seller’s market, and the best time to sell anything is when demand is high and supply is low.

In the upper price ranges of our local markets, things are reversed. There is more inventory than there are buyers to absorb the current number of homes for sale. Homes are staying on the market longer and sellers are often discounting their property to get them sold.
